iCLA's Psychology major will provide you with a thorough understanding of how technology influences human behavior across a wide variety of psychological disciplines. The interdisciplinary nature of studying Psychology within a Liberal Arts degree provides the ideal learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a diverse range of professional settings.
To ensure our students stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology, we integrate hands-on learning experiences and practical applications into the curriculum. By engaging with a variety of tools such as social media platforms, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and other emerging technologies, students gain practical skills and develop a deeper understanding of how technology can be harnessed to improve psychological research and practice in areas such as consumer behavior, organizational management, and economic decision-making.
Psychology is the scientific study of the brain, mind, and behavior, covering a wide range of subfields such as abnormal and clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and social psychology. Studying psychology offers numerous benefits and opens up diverse career opportunities in fields such as health, education, human resources, social work, marketing, sales and academia.

All applicants must hold, or be expected to hold upon entry to iCLA, a high school diploma equivalent to a Japanese senior high school graduation, having completed 12 years of education.
It is optional to submit a standardized test or university entrance qualification exam such as the SAT test.
Language Requirements
Non-native English speaking students must demonstrate English language proficiency with a TOEFL iBT score of 76, an IELTS score of 6.0, a Duolingo score of 95 or by providing an equivalent accepted English language qualification as shown in “Appendix A” of the Application Guidelines. In principle, this requirement is waived for native English speaking students.
There is no requirement for Japanese language proficiency to enter iCLA.
iCLA offers a tuition fee reduction scholarship from 25%, 50%, 75% up to 100%. All international students can apply for the scholarship program as part of the online admission process. And if awarded, the scholarship will cover the full four years of the studies at iCLA.
