Our Master in Transnational Governance is a uniquely interdisciplinary programme that examines the political, economic and legal aspects of today’s most pressing transnational policy issues.
Supported by a world-class faculty of renowned professors and policy-makers, you will learn how to design innovative, effective and ethical policies to tackle a variety of transnational policy challenges.
Our programme includes professional training session and a compulsory internship, thanks to our extensive network of prestigious academic and institutional partners. Furthermore, you will specialise in an area of policy of your choosing, fine-tuning your skills set for their future careers.
The School of Transnational Governance was founded in 2017 as part of the European University Institute in Florence. The STG was established to break away from traditional forms of transnational policy-making, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
The School is part of a world-wide network of prestigious institutions, leading to a wealth of study abroad opportunities and internship. Located in the heart of Florence, the STG is a platform for transnational policy actors across politics, business, civil society, media and academia.
The Master of Transnational Governance is offered on a tuition fee basis. The fee is 14.000 Euros per academic year for both EU and non-EU students. Funding for scholarships and fee waivers is available.
The applicant must have obtained, or be in process of obtaining, an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, of at least 180 ECTS credits) before the starting date of the master’s programme.
It is not possible to be enrolled on Master in Transnational Governance and another academic programme at the same time, unless a specific joint degree programme exists between the EUI and that university or institution.
A minimum a B2 level of English proficiency is required to attend the programme.
