The School of Computer Science at UWindsor offers a Doctoral program as well as 2 different Master's level programs. Each term (Fall, Winter and Spring), a variety of graduate courses. Some of these courses are designed to provide a broad overview of important topic areas, while others provide a more in-depth exploration of narrower topics. Our publications continue to flow in highly reputable venues every year. Equipment is of the latest technology with high-performance desktops, clusters, mobile robots and wireless networking. Highly reputed faculty members are appointed resulting in research grants that are always available. Tuition scholarships, NSERC, OGS, OGSST, in addition to numerous internal and external scholarships, teaching and research assistantships are available.

Notes about fees for this course

Fees are an estimation and are based on tuition for sixteen (16) months or four (4) academic terms. Does not include Incidental Fees ($2,000*), Textbooks ($2,000*), Living Expenses and Meals ($12,000*).

Entry requirements

The minimum admission requirements for the MSc Thesis based program are:

Confirmation of a 4 year BSc degree (Hons) with an overall GPA of 70% or higher (when converted to Ontario standards)

Demonstrated English Language Proficiency of 6.5 or better on the IELTS (Academic), no band score less than 6, or TOEFL-92.

NOTE* - Applicants who do not meet the minimum English Proficiency at the time of application will not be considered for the MSc Thesis based program but may wish to consider the MAC Course based program.

*Applicants must meet the minimum requirements at the time of application. Applicants with a 4 year degree in non-CS discipline may wish to consider the BCS for University Graduates program.

*Please note, it is highly recommended that applicants contact a potential supervisor and indicate the faculty member along with the intended area of interest in the Research Statement

Additional Material:

M.Sc.: Applicants must submit a Statement of Research Interests (500 words or less) which indicates the name of a potential supervisor(s). Resume or Curriculum Vitae, two academic referee assessments and additional information.

Ph.D.: Title and abstract of your Computer Science Master's Research Thesis. Statement of Research Interests (500 words or less). Copies of publications, if any. Indicate the name of potential supervisor(s) in the School of Computer Science at Windsor.

Three letters of reference are required. Review additional information.
