About Theology, MArt (Hons) - at University of Wales Trinity Saint David

Course Overview

Master of Theology students will be able to study of the major questions of life - Where do we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going? Why do bad things happen? - all of which are considered from the perspective of the Judeo-Christian traditions. This scheme will explore the sacred writings of Judaism and Christianity, as well as the teaching, practices and social impact of Christianity. Students will have the opportunity to study these traditions from historical and contemporary perspectives, building on staff specialism in biblical studies, church history, systematic theology, and religion in the modern world.

The Theology programme offers students the opportunity to undertake an in-depth study of the sacred texts, history, practices and developed theology of the Judeo-Christian traditions. It familiarises students with the specifics of those religious traditions as well as enabling comparisons to be made between familiar and unfamiliar viewpoints.
