About Master of Chiropractic, MChiro (Hons) - at AECC University College

You can’t learn everything from lectures or books, so from day one you’ll be building up clinical experience with real patient observations and case studies. In your final year of study you’ll be treating real patients under supervision in our large on-site teaching clinic.

Be ready to get involved. We want you in the clinic and learning in a real life environment from the get-go. The Master of Chiropractic degrees integrated learning method will keep your brain active, learning multiple subjects at once with an emphasis on clinical application. Not only that, you’re welcome to observe in the clinic anytime.

With engaging lectures and tutorials on offer, you’ll be learning from some of the global leaders in the field. You’ll get access to our Virtual Learning Environment, which is full of interactive online learning opportunities such as videos, quizzes and self-study lessons to help you in your studies. Of course, there are also practical classes and lab sessions where you can learn and practice your diagnostic and therapeutic skills with our tutors who are always on hand to help.

We’re proud of our reputation as leaders of research in the fields of Chiropractic, MRI, and Ultrasound, and word gets around as over half our students come to learn with us from all over the world. Located five minutes from the beach in the lively university town of Bournemouth, our campus boasts a purpose-built training clinic, gym, labs, lecture theatres, seminar rooms, prosecution facility and an extensive library.

Notes about fees for this course

There are a lot of things to consider when applying to university, including course fees. Take a look at the course fees for the Master of Chiropractic:

  • Home/EU: £9,250 per annum
  • Home/EU - ELQ students £14,100 per annum. You are classed as an ELQ student if the course which you are applying to is an equivalent or lower qualification to one you have previously achieved.
  • Channel Islands and Isle of Man: £9,250 per annum
  • Overseas/EEA: £14,100 per annum

Entry requirements

If you're applying for Year 0:

A-levels: BCC or higher. Your grades can be in any subject, though we don’t consider General Studies.

If you’re applying for Year 1:

A-levels: ABB or above. Your A-level subjects have to include Biology and one other science subject. We consider the following as a second science subject; Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, Physical Education, Geography, Geology. General Studies will not be considered.
