As an academic field, banking looks at the functioning of financial markets, as well as how businesses and corporations manage their different asset types. As a banker, you will play an important role in the provision and management of financial and banking services, including those offered to the public, as well as corporations and institutions. In a world that is becoming increasingly international and inter-reliant, your skills in banking will be in high demand as countries and businesses work together more closely.
A postgraduate degree in banking will allow you to develop your skills and knowledge gained at undergraduate level. Modules you study could include international trade theory, law in banking, investment management, derivatives and risk management, retail banking, ethical banking, and emerging markets.
