Start your journey towards a rewarding career in radiography.
A bachelor's degree in radiography is an opportunity to take the first step towards working in the radiography healthcare sector. Most radiography jobs require you to have a degree. You will be given the knowledge and skills both inside and outside of the classroom to prepare you for your future career.
Usually taking 3-4 years when studied full-time, a degree in radiography will cover subjects such as radiography imaging, diagnostic radiography, care and professional practice, and radiographic technologies. Depending on your course, you might also study specialist modules on specific radiographic techniques or skills.
Choosing to study abroad as an international student is an experience that can bolster your self confidence and broaden your horizons. You will be able to get your education at a university of your choice, alongside students from other countries and cultures. This not only makes for an interesting community, but also means that your post-graduation network is extremely diverse.
Admission Requirements
Admission requirements to a bachelor's degree in radiography will usually include a high school diploma or equivalent. Some universities might prefer that you have studied specific subjects at school, such as biology, physics, or chemistry. This is a normal requirement for healthcare related degrees.
For programs taught in English, you will have to provide evidence of your language proficiency, unless you are exempt from this. This can be done through results from TOEFL or IELTS, which are two of the most widely accepted tests at universities around the world.
Tuition Fees
Tuition fees for international students will vary depending on where you choose to study and your home country. You might be eligible for financial assistance, such as scholarships or grants. It is important to do your research so that you fully understand the cost of studying abroad and what financial support you are eligible to receive.
Careers
Radiography graduates will have various career options available to them, including pursuing further studies, such as a masters degree, or looking for a job. Available job roles could be directly involved in the healthcare industry, as a radiographer or radiography technician, and your skills will be transferable to other related healthcare jobs. Outside of healthcare, your knowledge will be desirable to a range of other industries, like teaching, medical sales, or laboratory science.
