Focuses on social justice in its broadest sense
Fosters an understanding of people who are vulnerable and the role of gender, race, social class, religion, and sexuality in shaping society and culture
Provides specialized knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the lives of others

The following are many different types of English proficiency tests that the university accepts with the minimum required scores:
TOEFL - Computer based score: 220 with Test of Written English score: 4.5. Internet based score: 83 with essay score: 20.
IELTS: 6.5.
CAEL: 60.
MELAB: 85.
