Contact us for further information.Student opinion:I have been carrying out Simple Removable and Fixed Orthodontic treatment for the last 3 years with just my undergraduate knowledge and some supervision from a consultant. I was glad to find a part time course in orthodontics that fits very well around my busy schedule of running my practice without making a noticeable dent on my finances.
The knowledge I have gained in this first year of the course has already had a positive effect on my diagnosis & treatment planning skills and I am much more confident and enjoying dentistry again. It is a great relief to know that any needed advice is just an email or telephone call away. Can't wait for year 2 and 3!"
Preshaan Sitlu, Certificate Year, OrthodonticsStudent opinion:Thanks all for another excellent training day up North! It is commendable the in-roads you are all making into the accessibility of specialist training for the GDP.After spending 6 years building up a great private practice on the south coast, the last thing I would want to do is leave it for a few years! As GDP's we have built up excellent communication skills both clinical and non-clinical, have a depth of experience in all disciplines, and have a thirst for knowledge to improve our clinical ability! We surely should be good candidates for an MSc.On this ortho course, I am definitely wearing 'L' plates compared to other candidates! It was good of you to pick up on that, but currently I am happy rubbing shoulders with those playing off a lower handicap! It is obviously important that they feel the same way... there's nothing worse than teeing off with a couple of bandits! I am filling out the MSc application in hope that when I return from a few weeks in the French Alps, I will have a profound motivation to write 12,000 words in the next 12 months! Thanks again for the opportunity... great course... lovely town! See you again in September."
