This new course aims to provide you with a broad overview of the molecular and cellular causes and treatments of human diseases.
It provides practical and theoretical understanding of the most important current topics in molecular medicine, including the biology of cancer, synthetic biology, cardiovascular diseases and stem cells and regenerative medicine. You will also gain hands-on training in research techniques such as confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, cloning, in situ hybridisation and bioinformatics and you will carry out your own 15-week independent research project.
With a variety of taught modules, you will learn to apply your skills to industry-relevant challenges.
The fees listed are for full-time study, unless otherwise stated, and relate to courses starting in the 2018/19 academic year. Fee information will be confirmed in offer letters sent out to successful applicants.
