About Supply Chain Risk and Resilience Management, CPD - at University of Hull

Recent events, such as the global COVID-19 pandemic, Brexit, the Ever Given blockage in the Suez Canal and the rush to reopen the economy from lockdown, have exposed many issues in supply chains such as labour shortages and lack of resilience. The increased focus on environmental sustainability is also leading to the introduction of major technology changes, introducing inherent risk and uncertainty in supply chains. This is highlighting the need for strategies, techniques and tools to identify, visualise, quantify and reduce risk in your supply chain in order to improve resilience. Understanding and managing your supply chain resilience is not only the domain of your Risk Manager. It requires broad understanding through all your business functions.

The Logistics Institute at the University of Hull has developed a 2-day course in Supply Chain Risk and Resilience Management aimed at managers, current leaders, and future leaders across the business functions who will be equipped to steer their organisations in a world beset by supply chain risk and uncertainty.

This course will be presented by a combination of academic and industry experts with many years of experience in supply chain management, risk management, cyber security, environmental sciences, modern day slavery and human behaviour. The content will be presented in an interactive way with group exercises, games and lively discussions, and there will be ample networking opportunities with individuals from like-minded organisations.
