The origins, structure and politics of the contemporary global market economy are at the heart of the study of International Political Economy. The global political and economic order is ever-changing under such influences as development, inequality, environmental change and the global economic crisis and recovery. This programme covers the theoretical foundations of International Political Economy, including the origins, structure and politics of the contemporary global market economy. It also explores changes to the global political and economic order, and a range of issues that are central to the study of contemporary International Political Economy.
