GPhC accreditation also means that the degree content has been reviewed for quality assurance purposes, to ensure it meets GPhC standards.
Becoming a pharmacist
Becoming a pharmacistPharmacy is a highly varied profession with a number of different possible career paths open to graduates. Pharmacy graduates are highly sought after and continue to be amongst the most employable professionals in the UK.
If you want to become a pharmacist, you must study a professionally accredited MPharm Honours degree. After successful completion of your degree, you will need to complete one year as a pre-registration trainee and successfully pass the GPhC Registration Assessment.
Your pre-registration training year is completed as a graduate and you are responsible for sourcing your own training contract. However, we will give you lots of support to prepare you for finding and applying for one.
After this, you can register with the GPhC and practise as a pharmacist. See Course Details for more information.
