Offshore engineers focus on the design and operation of fixed and floating structures which service the offshore energy industry. They require knowledge of key engineering skills, which they apply to industry-specific challenges. 

After learning the fundamentals of marine technology in your first two years, you'll move on to specialist modules in:

  • offshore design
  • marine structures
  • offshore engineering

You will gain the ability to design and produce fixed and floating offshore oil and gas production installations, and the crafts which service them.
