Our Certificate III in Hospitality gives you the skills to work anywhere, from the local pub to top international restaurants around the world. Train with industry-qualified professionals in our modern facilities and begin a successful career in hospitality.
This course develops the operational skills required for the hospitality industry. You will obtain certificates in RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and Food Hygiene (use hygienic practices for food safety) required to gain a range of entry level jobs.
The course is designed to provide practical skills required to serve food and beverage in in restaurants, cafes, convention centres and food retail outlets.
As a domestic/local student, you may be eligible for a Victorian Government subsidy. Check with the institution if you want more information about this.
Melbourne Polytechnic minimum academic level differs depending on the course. Most certificate and diploma level courses require evidence of completion to studies equivalent to Australian Year 11 or 12, bachelor degree courses require evidence of completion to studies equivalent to Australian Year 12, and master degree courses require evidence of completion to studies AQF (Australian) Bachelor degree or overseas equivalent.
If you do not meet Melbourne Polytechnic’s academic entry-level requirements but have acquired skills or knowledge relevant to your chosen course, you may apply as a mature age student. A mature age student is considered to be over 18 years old, and has been out of full-time education for at least one year.
