The Entertainment Management degree is ideal for students wanting to work in the business and management side of the music and entertainment industries.

You will be taught and mentored by industry experts who are currently working within many sectors of the industry including management, publicity, music festivals, touring companies and record labels. With a focus on the logistical side of the creative industries, you will undertake fundamental units such as business strategy and lawmarketing, economicsfinancepublicitymusic publishing, and event management.

Collarts offers students a variety of real-life industry experiences so that they are career-ready when they graduate. Through our industry partnerships with Falls FestivalGroovin The MooMelbourne Fashion WeekEgo Expo and more, students have opportunities to apply their business and management studies in real-world situations.

Students can also partake in overseas exchange programs, scholarship opportunities at BIGSOUND and gain hands-on experience at an array of major festivals and events. You will also work closely with students from other courses to gain a well-rounded understanding of the business side of entertainment industries.

Students will graduate with a well-rounded understanding of entertainment management, both in Australia and overseas.

Entry requirements

Students must first meet the general entry requirements before progressing to the interview stage and meeting additional specific course entry requirements.

All international student applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of commencement of study.

The academic minimum entry requirement is one of the following:

  • Completion of an Australian Year 12 Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or overseas equivalent
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Completed Australian AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework) Certificate IV
  • Completed Foundation year at any Australian Higher Education Provider
  • Completed one full-time semester at any Australian Higher Education Provider
  • Completed one full-time year at an overseas Higher Education Provider.

Meet the minimum English proficiency requirements evidenced by achieving an IELTS 6.0 (no band lower than 6.0) or equivalent

  • Applicants who do not meet the minimum English Proficiency Levels can take an intensive English course to gain the required level of proficiency at one of Collarts’ pathway provider partners.
  • All documents must be certified and translated (if originals are not in English).
