The double degree MA in European Studies / Law and Politics is a unique programme that comes out of the EU-JAMM cooperation 2013-2017 (EU Bilateral Cooperation with Industrialised Countries) and which offers students the opportunity to develop knowledge and competencies in the fields of European and Political Studies from both a European and Japanese perspective, confronting and comparing structures, social imaginaries and political institutions and practices whilst observing and participating first hand in cross-cultural relations and experiences.
The MA allows students to spend one academic year at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and one academic year at Kobe University in Japan, supported by one supervisor from each university and concluding the programme with one MA thesis and a double degree from each university.
Graduate profile
Students who graduate from this programme are qualified to work in diplomacy and international relations, national governmental positions, EU-Japan relations in political and non-governmental spheres, think-tanks, consultancy and public affairs, private companies and business associations, financial institutions and European Union Institutions (Council, Parliament, Commission and Support Services).
