This is an applied Master's in History. Its defining aspect is the combination of historical study (developed in-line with the research specialisms of our exceptional History staff) with the opportunity to devise and produce material for use in, with, and by the public.
You'll want to study the past, possibly as a precursor to further research, but you'll also benefit from developing your skills in communicating its stories to diverse audiences, in a variety of ways.
We're looking for students with a passion for History, and a curiosity for the sources of things and how they inform our present. In your personal statement, you should explore the value of history in the modern world, and what it means to you.
You'll generally have a good honours degree or equivalent, usually in History or a related subject.
