Course aims:
The aim of this course is to introduce at the concerned, handmade objects procedure such as marionette in combination of audiovisual techniques, such as animation.
The further idea is to show how two different fields, handmade craft and computer technology can meet and create art.
Course contents:
In the first part the students will be introduced in the creative process of making a marionette, were paper, cloth and other materials will be used and will be transformed into a character that performs specific movements.
In the second part there will be an introduction in stop-motion animation. Through the animation process students will enrich and express their creativity by making a short animation film with the puppets that they have made.
